Our VIDEO CONNECT service is an IP access method engineered specifically to support Video Conferencing systems up to and including HD Video encoding. It provides symmetrical up- and down- speeds of 512K, 1,024K or 2,048K and therefore makes it a real cost effective alternative to SDSL. This service is offered with free installation and includes a dedicated router. Performance and Support Traffic is prioritised in both the carrier’s network and across our network using QoS functionality on the Edge routing platform. This enables performance assurances to be given that defines Maximum Latency, Jitter and Packet Loss as follows: Latency < 50ms (round trip) Services not meeting the above standards, measured over a 5 minute period, will be regarded as a fault and can be reported accordingly. The VIDEO CONNECT service comes with an Enhanced Support Package that stipulates reported faults will be cleared within 24 hours - essential for business critical applications, such as Video. VIDEO CONNECT is totally uncontended which differentiates it from standard SDSL, which typically has a 10:1 contention ratio. The Video Connect service traffic is prioritised over all other traffic in our network and we have made provisions to accommodate this in our interconnections with other carriers. Having a network packet loss of less than 1%, in conjunction with the latest error correction technology within the Video Conferencing end points, provides for almost 100% error free transmission, giving unparalleled service reliability and video/audio quality. Availability The VIDEO CONNECT service is available in over 1000 UK exchanges - covering almost 60% of the UK business community. The service requires the installation of a standard Analogue line ; the lead-time for the provision of Video Connect is 10 working days.All prices are per month and exclusive of VAT. Our prices include one static IP address with additional IP addresses available on request. Bandwidth is subject to availability. A minimum contract of 12 months is applicable.
